Royal Ascot hotels 2027: where to stay

Start with the journey you want to make on raceday, then compare rooms in Ascot and the wider area. The accommodation searches cover Tuesday 15 to Saturday 19 June 2027; check the dates on your race ticket before booking.

Hotel search dates

Searches below check in 14 June 2027 and check out 20 June 2027, covering the whole Festival. Adjust them for a shorter visit.

Choose your racing days and overnight dates

This guide uses 15–19 June 2027 for Royal Ascot accommodation searches. A room search covering the whole meeting should include arrival before Tuesday and departure after Saturday. The searches below cover all five racing days; change the stay length if you attend fewer days. Check the search’s actual arrival and departure fields before comparing properties.

Keep your admission confirmation beside the accommodation search. The enclosure and day determine what you are planning around; a room reservation does not establish admission to the course. If you arrive on a racing morning, ask about storing luggage before check-in. If you leave after racing, establish the checkout and luggage arrangement separately. Do not assume either permission from the presence of a reception desk.

Ascot

Ascot is the first area to compare when reducing the final journey is your priority. Obtain the property’s actual address and identify the route to your booked entrance. A search result labelled Ascot can cover a wider area than the town centre, so check the location before treating it as a walk to the course.

If the accommodation requires a taxi, arrange the return as well as the outward trip. Ask the property about breakfast hours and any check-in restrictions that affect your racing day. For a shared room, agree whether everyone will return together or needs separate access. Choose a location that suits the least flexible member of the party, including anyone who cannot manage a long walk in their raceday footwear.

Windsor

Windsor is an alternative search for a stay you want to combine with time away from the racing. Treat the racecourse transfer as a separate part of the booking decision. Establish a complete public-transport itinerary or a booked road transfer from the actual property; being in the same wider area does not by itself establish a direct train.

Check where your return transfer would leave you and how you would reach the room from there. If the accommodation is outside the centre, include that final leg when comparing it with a closer stay. For a group travelling separately, keep the property postcode and the agreed pickup location in one shared note, so that the evening does not depend on everyone remembering a verbal arrangement.

Bracknell

Bracknell is a useful railway-based area to test against your travel date. South Western Railway’s Reading and Ascot to London Waterloo route includes Bracknell. Choose a room by its practical connection to the departure station, then use the current planner to confirm the train to Ascot and the service back.

When comparing an address near the station with one farther away, include the walking or local transfer in both directions. Check how much time you need to get ready before departure and whether breakfast fits that plan. If your group will return at different times, make sure each person has the room access and route information needed to finish their journey independently.

Maidenhead

Maidenhead widens the room search, but it needs a checked onward plan to Ascot. Work out that connection before deciding that a lower room total makes it the best value. For public transport, record the necessary interchange and return departure; for a car or taxi, establish the route and pickup arrangements without assuming a transfer is included.

Ask the property about parking if you intend to leave a vehicle while racing. Confirm whether permission lasts after checkout if the final racing day is also your departure day. Compare the total for the stay and all transfers, rather than ranking rooms by the nightly amount alone. If the journey feels awkward when written down, try a different base while the choice is still reversible.

Sunninghill and Sunningdale

Search Sunninghill and Sunningdale separately so you can compare actual addresses. Sunningdale appears on South Western Railway’s route between Ascot and London Waterloo. That station connection is useful only if the property-to-station journey and the train on your date both work for your party.

For either area, check the walking route rather than relying on the accommodation’s general location label. Where a taxi is needed, arrange a practical return meeting point and keep the provider’s contact details available. Ask directly about any access requirements at the property, including steps, parking and the room location. A nearby address is useful only if the whole journey is manageable.

Reading

Reading offers another rail-based search. South Western Railway provides an official Reading to Ascot journey page and lists the route in its Reading and Ascot to London Waterloo timetable. Use the date-specific planner to check your outward and return journeys; the ordinary timetable is not a promise about a future Festival day.

Prioritise the journey between your room and Reading station when comparing addresses. If the trip continues beyond Reading after racing, allow time to make that onward connection rather than choosing the shortest possible interchange. For several racing days, consider whether the station walk remains comfortable each evening. Keep the last transfer to the accommodation in the plan even if the rail leg looks straightforward.

Staines

Staines is another area to compare along the wider South Western Railway corridor. Identify the exact station and the service you would use before selecting a room. Confirm the direction, any change and the return option in the planner rather than assuming every departure from the station calls at Ascot.

If you are arriving at the accommodation from elsewhere, compare that first journey with the repeated raceday journey. The easiest arrival on Monday may not be the most comfortable base for several racing afternoons. Ask about late access and leave enough time for the final walk or taxi after the return train. A shared itinerary should state the station name as well as the town.

London and Waterloo

London can suit a trip that includes other plans in the city. South Western Railway publishes a London Waterloo to Ascot journey page. Choose accommodation around a workable connection to Waterloo, including any Underground, bus or walking stage, and verify the return from Ascot for the actual racing day.

A central London label covers many different journeys. Compare the door-to-platform trip from the property rather than its distance from a landmark. If you book dinner after racing, allow for leaving the venue, reaching Ascot station and completing the London connection. A plan with a little flexibility is more comfortable than a restaurant reservation tied to the earliest possible arrival.

Check the train and the final arrival separately

South Western Railway’s timetable index identifies its Reading and Ascot to London Waterloo route as timetable 2. This supports comparing accommodation from either direction, but the operator also advises checking engineering work and journey changes before travel. We have not carried ordinary-service journey times or frequencies into a promise for June 2027.

National Rail identifies Ascot (Berks), station code ACT, as the local station managed by South Western Railway. Its station page describes step-free category B1 access, which can involve long or steep ramps or a street route. Read the detailed station information and arrange rail assistance where needed. Then check the separate journey from the station to your booked racecourse entrance; station accessibility alone does not establish that whole route.

Compare terms before choosing a room

Our recommendation is to compare the full stay total, cancellation deadline, payment schedule and any minimum stay together. Check that the bed arrangement suits everyone and that reception or self-check-in hours cover your arrival. Ask the accommodation directly about access needs or parking that is essential to your visit.

If your first search has no suitable room, widen one choice at a time: another area, a shorter stay or fewer racing days. Check the new journey before accepting a restrictive booking. Keep hotel and race-ticket terms separately, since changes to one booking do not automatically change the other. Finish with a return plan and a saved property address, so the accommodation decision is complete before you travel.
