Accessibility at Ripon Racecourse

Ripon publishes information on companion tickets, parking, a limited mobility-buggy service, viewing and toilets. The contact team can discuss the fixture and your access requirements.

Talk to the racecourse first

Email info@ripon-races.co.uk, or call 01765 530530. Tell them the meeting, your ticket, how you are arriving, any equipment you use and the facilities you need.

Your visit, step by step

  1. Arrange a companion ticket

Ripon offers a free companion ticket for eligible disabled racegoers through the Nimbus Access Card process. The racecourse says a Nimbus card is free to apply for; existing cardholders can give the office their card ID or bring it on the day.

  2. Plan parking and the buggy

Accessible parking is limited near the Club and Paddock entrances. Display your Blue Badge to stewards. The mobility buggy helps visitors without a wheelchair or scooter travel from the coach park and back of the car park to the entrances. It runs at the start of the day until about 45 minutes before the first race, then resumes after the last race; it is not a continuous service.

  3. Check surfaces and facilities

The racecourse says the Paddock is level and has a ramped raised viewing point; lifts serve the Club floors and viewing point, and accessible toilets are distributed around the venue. Much of the Course Enclosure is grass. Ask about the route and viewing position that fit your access needs before choosing an enclosure.
