Talk to the racecourse first

Email info@tauntonracecourse.co.uk, or call 01823 337172, or use the racecourse contact page. Tell them the meeting, your ticket, how you are arriving, any equipment you use and the facilities you need.

Your visit, step by step

  1. Arrange a personal assistant ticket

The racecourse’s policy is to admit the first personal assistant or companion free at paid events. Buy the visitor’s ticket in advance; collect the assistant ticket at the Main Entrance or Taunton End ticket office.

  2. Plan arrival and parking

Wheelchair users can use free forward parking in the car parks, subject to capacity and on a first-come basis. There is a drop-off point at Taunton End. The courtesy bus from the station is not wheelchair accessible.

  3. Use the stands and facilities

All entrances are wheelchair accessible. Passenger lifts serve all levels of the Orchard and Paddock stands; the Portman Stand currently has no lift. Accessible toilets are in the Orchard, Paddock and Centre Course buildings.
