One enclosure
General Admission at Leicester
Leicester sells one public race-day admission ticket rather than separate public enclosures. Under the One Enclosure policy, your ticket covers the public areas, including the Parade Ring and Winners’ Enclosure viewing; private hospitality suites and the Owners & Trainers Lounge remain excluded.

Who it suits
- First-time racegoers who want to move between the track, betting ring and Parade Ring.
- Visitors who prefer to choose where to watch rather than pay for a specific public enclosure.
- Families: under-18s attend free on race days except Ladies Day when with a paying adult.

Where your ticket takes you
- All public enclosure areas under the One Enclosure policy.
- Public Parade Ring and Winners’ Enclosure viewing areas.
- Public betting, grandstand and trackside areas, subject to temporary restrictions on the day.
Not included
- Private hospitality suites such as the Nelson Suite, Executive Boxes, Premier Rooms and Paddock Pavilion.
- The Owners & Trainers Lounge.
The view
Your ticket is not tied to one public enclosure, so you can move around the public areas and watch from different spots. Leicester’s FAQ confirms access to Parade Ring and Winners’ Enclosure viewing; AccessAble describes step-free or ramped routes to the trackside, parade and betting ring, though some routes cross uneven ground. The racecourse places a giant screen near the winning line at every fixture.
Food and drink
The shared public area has multiple bars and food outlets; catering options differ by fixture.
Public bars and food outlets
Food is available across the public racecourse; food and drink outlets take debit or credit cards only.
Picnic exception
Outside food is not normally permitted. On official Family Days, brought-in food must be eaten in the picnic car park.
Cash vouchers
The 2026 event listings say visitors can exchange cash for vouchers at the main office for use at cashless food and drink outlets.
Facilities
Betting
Betting facilities are available around the course and the 2026 ticket pages say they continue to accept cash.
Parking
Public car parks A and B are free. Car park A is grass; the course uses B as overspill on busy days.
Shelter and seats
The racecourse warns that covered areas and seating are limited, so dress for rain and plan to stand or walk.
Security
Bags are searched as standard and the course may carry out random metal-detector checks.
Dress code
There is no strict dress code for public racegoers, and Leicester encourages visitors to dress up if they wish. Wear comfortable shoes and weatherproof layers: the racecourse warns that covered space and seating are limited. Football shirts and vests are specifically discouraged in hospitality areas.
Getting in
Buy admission for your chosen meeting through the official ticket page or app; phone sales are no longer offered. Use the public turnstiles and check the event page for its own doors-open, first-race and last-race times. The 2026 listings state that bags are searched and food or drink cannot normally be brought in. Random searches may take longer on premium days.
Accessibility
The racecourse links to AccessAble guides for the course, parking, toilets, betting and hospitality. AccessAble reports step-free access by ramps or slopes to upper and lower public areas, designated race viewing, the main entrance, Parade Ring, betting ring and outside refreshments; some surfaces are uneven. Adapted toilets are near the turnstiles and in key buildings. Main car park A is grass with no designated Blue Badge bays; alternative tarmac parking may be arranged in advance. Apply ahead for one free personal assistant ticket with DLA, Attendance Allowance, PIP, AFIP or registered-blind evidence; a Blue Badge alone is not accepted. Call 0116 271 6515.
Children and families
Under-18s attend race meetings free with a paying adult, except Ladies Day. The racecourse ticket listing says no ticket is needed for children at standard race meetings, and its FAQ says proof of age may be requested. Children must stay with a paying adult; under-18s must be accompanied by an adult at all events.
Tips
- One public ticket covers the Parade Ring and Winners’ Enclosure viewing, so you can move around without choosing a separate public enclosure.
- The adult public admission price is not displayed in the page text of the 2026 ticket calendar; do not assume an amount from an older event listing.
- Bring a payment card for food and drink; there is no cash machine and catering outlets are card-only.
- Arrive with time for bag checks, especially on premium racedays, and take a waterproof layer because sheltered space is limited.
