- Reach the Paddock and Course Enclosures with the same Club badge, including the main betting ring and the Course-side family facilities.
- View the Parade Ring and Winner’s Enclosure from the first-floor St Wilfrid Bar, or go into the Paddock where the Parade Ring is available at ground level.
- Book the Club Restaurant, Silks and Saddles, or one of the private hospitality rooms separately; a Club Stand badge is still needed for racecourse entry.
Not included
- A Club ticket does not reserve a restaurant table or include a private hospitality room; both must be booked separately.
- Picnics and barbecues are not permitted in the Club Enclosure.
- Club admission does not include the cost of food, drink or a private box catering package.
The view
The Club Stand is a seated, covered place to watch the racing, positioned for a view of the Winning Post. Ripon says that the stand is its best place to watch five- and six-furlong races in full. The first-floor St Wilfrid Bar looks over the Parade Ring and Winner’s Enclosure, while your badge also lets you head down into the Paddock to see the horses at close range. This is useful if you want both a settled race view and time by the parade before a race.
Food and drink
Club has sit-down dining, café and bar choices, with full meal packages available separately from admission.
Club Restaurant
A two- or three-course lunch or dinner was advertised from £34.95 per person in 2026, with optional afternoon tea. A £5-per-person reservation fee applied, and a separate Club admission ticket was required.
Garden Oasis café
The racecourse describes cakes and afternoon tea here, a lighter stop near the Club viewing area.
Silks and Saddles Bar
A buffet package features Yorkshire beef, smoked salmon, salads, hot potatoes, breads and desserts. Its 2026 package included Club admission, a glass of champagne, meal choices and a racecard: £69.50 for Feature, £66.50 for Standard and £59.50 for Evening fixtures.
Champagne & Seafood Bar
This bar serves seafood options with champagne and wines, and has a terrace looking across the Parade Ring.
Dine & View
The shared dining restaurant sits within the Rowels Boxes on the Club Stand hospitality floor. It is an inclusive package for smaller groups and individuals; contact the official hospitality operator for its current package details.
Facilities
Covered seating and lift
The Club Stand has seated, covered viewing and a lift serving the first and second floors. Staff can direct visitors to the first-floor viewing point.
Betting
The Club has betting facilities and Club badge holders can move to the Paddock and Course betting points. Ripon’s new-racegoer page explains that there are on-course bookmakers, Britbet points and William Hill shops.
Toilets and family facilities
Wheelchair-accessible toilets are distributed around the racecourse, including bar areas. Baby-changing is available in every enclosure, and high chairs can be requested in Club, Paddock and Course.
Payments and racecard
Club tickets included a complimentary racecard in 2026. The official ticket page says cards are accepted at the entrance; the FAQs say there is no cash machine, though cashback is available at Britbet points with a minimum £10 bet.
Dress code
Everyone in the Club Enclosure is asked to dress smartly; a suit and tie is not required. Shirts, blouses, dresses, skirts, trousers, tailored shorts and smart jeans without rips, tears or fraying are permitted. Smart shoes and clean fashion trainers are acceptable. T-shirts, sportswear, football shirts and sports trainers are not allowed; polo shirts are permitted in warm weather. Choose footwear with grass in mind, as part of the day may be outdoors.
Getting in
Enter through the Club ticket gate shown on your ticket. Gates typically open about two hours before the first race; the car park and entry gates are busiest in the hour before it. The 2026 advance ticket price could be used only until 9am on raceday; tickets were then sold at the gate subject to availability. There are no dogs in the enclosures except trained assistance dogs. You can leave and re-enter: ask at the Paddock entrance for a return pass before exiting.
Accessibility
Ripon lists limited accessible parking close to the Club entrance and says the ground is level from parking to the Club ticket gate. The Club Stand lift serves the first and second floors, and accessible viewing is available upstairs; ask staff to direct you. Accessible toilets are spread around the course. To request a free essential companion ticket, apply for the racecourse’s Nimbus Access Card and give the office your card ID; call the Access Officer on 01765 530530 to discuss the ticket and any specific requirements. The mobility buggy serves the coach park and back of the car park to the Paddock and Club entrances at the start of the day until around 45 minutes before the first race, and again after the last race.
Children and families
Under-18s are admitted free when accompanied by an adult; the racecourse says children do not need an admission ticket and receive a wristband on entry. The Club dress code applies to guests of all ages. Children can use the climbing frame in the Paddock and the permanent play park in Course, both reachable with a Club badge. Family Days add free activities such as rides, crafts and shows; the exact programme varies by meeting. Baby-changing is available in each enclosure, and staff can provide high chairs in Club, Paddock and Course.
Tips
- If you want to watch from a seat, arrive early to settle in; the Club ticket gives access to the covered stand as well as the wider enclosures.
- For the Parade Ring, head to the first-floor St Wilfrid Bar or walk into the Paddock before a race.
- Book the Club Restaurant or Silks and Saddles package separately. Restaurant tables can fill well in advance, and the Club Restaurant reservation fee was £5 per person in 2026.
- Remember that the ticket is smart dress: clean fashion trainers are allowed, but sports trainers and T-shirts are not.
- A Club badge includes Paddock and Course, so use the included access to visit the family play areas or picnic areas; the picnic food must be eaten in the relevant enclosure.
Upgrading
The Club Stand is the top public ticket and includes access to the Paddock and Course. Paddock guests can upgrade on the day, subject to availability, by paying the difference in ticket price.
