Talk to the racecourse first

Email info@southwell-racecourse.co.uk, or call 01636 814481, or use the racecourse contact page. Tell them the meeting, your ticket, how you are arriving, any equipment you use and the facilities you need.

Your visit, step by step

  1. Personal assistant admission

A personal assistant can enter free with a paying visitor who meets the racecourse criteria. Claim the ticket at the entrance and bring supporting evidence; the accessibility page lists benefit documentation and a Blue Badge with photo ID among accepted proof.

  2. Step-free viewing and toilets

All public ground-floor areas in the Grandstand enclosure are accessible, with wheelchair viewing ramps beside the horse walk and near the parade ring. Accessible toilets are in the betting hall, food court and rear Food Pantry; a lift serves the first-floor restaurant and viewing balcony.

  3. Parking and assistance dogs

Accessible parking is available in Car Parks A and B. Guide, hearing and medical alert dogs are welcome on leads. The racecourse advises visitors to email at least 48 hours ahead when arranging free personal-assistant admission.
