Standard ticket
Main Enclosure at Stratford
The Main Enclosure is Stratford’s standard public ticket and provides access to the public areas, including the Grandstand, Parade Ring and pre-Parade Ring. It is the best fit for a first visit if you want a conventional trackside raceday and do not need the picnic rules of the Centre Course.

- Public bars, food outlets, refreshment areas and Tote betting facilities.
- Public viewing areas around the course; the Main Enclosure does not include private restaurant or box seating.
Not included

- Picnic food and beverages, which the racecourse permits only in the Centre Course enclosure.
The view
A Main Enclosure ticket opens the public areas, including the Grandstand, Parade Ring and pre-Parade Ring. Use the Parade Ring to look at the runners before the race, then move towards the public trackside areas or stand in the Grandstand to follow the field. Wheelchair users can use the covered viewing area on the first floor of the Warwickshire Stand, reached by the lift at the front of the building. The course map is available on the raceday page; seating in all enclosures is limited, so arrive early if you need a seat.
Food and drink
Food and drink are sold around the public areas, but the current visitor pages do not name individual Main Enclosure bars.
Food court
The raceday guide lists a food court with various options. It does not publish the outlet names or menus for each meeting.
Bars and refreshment outlets
Stratford lists multiple bars and refreshment outlets around the site. Cash and card are accepted in several venues, although some are card-only.
Gallery Restaurant
This is separately booked hospitality rather than part of a standard admission ticket; its 2026 listing is £135 per person including VAT.
Facilities
Parade Ring and pre-Parade Ring
Both are included in the public areas accessed by the Main Enclosure ticket.
Tote betting
Tote betting facilities are listed in the raceday visitor guide; bookmaking and betting services may operate in different parts of the public enclosure.
Accessible viewing
Wheelchair users can reach the covered viewing area on the first floor of the Warwickshire Stand by lift.
Toilets, Wi-Fi and family facilities
The racecourse lists disabled toilets in each enclosure, free Wi-Fi and baby-changing facilities.
Dress code
There is no formal dress code for Main Enclosure visitors. Stratford recommends smart casual clothes and comfortable shoes suitable for standing on grass. The racecourse visitor page does not list a ban on particular clothing for public admission. Bring a waterproof or warm layer as appropriate: this ticket includes outdoor viewing as well as the Grandstand, and the racecourse is an open-air venue.
Getting in
Enter at the main entrance on Luddington Road. Gates normally open two hours before the first race; the date-specific page lists each meeting’s actual time. For example, gates open at 11:41am before the 1:41pm first race on Monday 5 October 2026. E-tickets can be shown on a phone or printed, and the FAQ says day-of tickets can be bought at the gate by cash or card. Stratford does not publish a bag policy in its current FAQs or Your Raceday page.
Accessibility
Wheelchair users in the Main Enclosure can reach a covered viewing area on the first floor of the Warwickshire Stand via the lift at the front of the building. The Parade Ring has a raised accessible viewing area near the Winners’ Enclosure and paddock. Accessible toilets are provided in each enclosure; free parking spaces are close to the Luddington and Paddock Lane entrances for vehicles displaying a valid disabled permit and are first come, first served. A complimentary carer’s badge is available at the entrance with a valid Access Card showing the +1 symbol or equivalent evidence of a carer requirement.
Children and families
Accompanied under-18s enter free with all ticket types and booking methods, including walk-up tickets, advance bookings and group bookings. Proof of age may be requested. No separate child ticket price is listed for the public Main Enclosure. Children should stay with their adult around the Parade Ring and trackside viewing areas.
Tips
- The 5 October 2026 Main Enclosure ticket was £20.70 online or £23 on the day; the online ticket is the lower listed price for that fixture.
- Go to the Parade Ring before the race you most want to see, then leave time to find a place along the public viewing areas.
- Seats are limited in all enclosures and most bar areas, so arrive early if sitting down is important.
- There is no cash machine on site; bars, cafés, racecard sales and entry gates take cash or card at various points, with some venues card-only.
