Getting in
Gates normally open two hours before the first race, and tickets are sold at the gate when it opens, subject to availability. Ayr station is about 20 minutes’ walk away, or under five minutes by taxi.
Accessibility
Ayr is mostly flat and on hard standing. Use Gate C, which slopes down into the course; accessible parking is under 50 metres from the main entrance, and a lift by the Ayrshire Suite goes up to the Princess Royal Suite. Free carers’ tickets are available at every meeting: book on 01292 264179.
Children and families
Under-18s go free with a full-paying adult (some fixtures have exclusions). They can’t use the Cree Lodge Bar, Be-friendly Bar, Champagne Bar or Champagne Lawns, and under-12s can’t enter the Parade Ring or Winners’ Enclosure.
Tips
- Choose the Tented Village for the party, not the horses: there’s no Parade Ring access.
- Book early: National Saturday sells out.
- Stay for the live music after the last race.
Upgrading
To see the horses in the Parade Ring, choose the Grandstand Premier (£52) or a Club badge (£72) instead. For reserved seating next to the track with a drink and racecard, the Legends Lounge was £150 for National Saturday 2027.
