The view
Silks sits in the Premier Enclosure and is described as a restaurant with a terrace overlooking the home straight and finishing post. Its higher position gives a panoramic perspective over racing and the surrounding city and sea. The terrace is open air, so it offers an outdoor view rather than covered seating. The hospitality ticket includes public-area access, allowing you to walk down to the Grandstand, lawns, Parade Ring and other public spots between courses.
Food and drink
Silks’ hospitality booking includes a three-course seasonal menu and table service.
Three-course menu
The 2026 booking listing describes a three-course menu designed for the fixture. Menus are event-specific; the public hospitality page does not show a single fixed menu for every meeting.
Restaurant bar
A bar is listed among the package facilities. The venue’s general FAQ says other concession menus can change from fixture to fixture.
Silks Terrace
The open-air grassy terrace is part of the Silks experience and is a place to view the races while taking in the city and sea panorama.
Facilities
Reserved table
Your private table is allocated for the duration of the meeting.
Betting
Bar and betting facilities are listed as convenient restaurant amenities; Tote betting is available in the public areas.
Public enclosure access
The package includes public areas, including trackside viewing and the Premier Enclosure facilities.
Accessible route
Brighton’s map and access guide describe lifts, accessible toilets and the third-floor viewing platform; ask whether the booked restaurant table and terrace route meet your specific access needs.
Dress code
Brighton has no general formal dress code, but sporting tops are not allowed. The venue encourages personal style and comfort; smart clothing is common in the restaurant, but a suit is not required by the published general guidance. Take a coat for the open Silks Terrace and comfortable shoes for walking around the outdoor racecourse.
Getting in
Enter through the main entrance on Freshfield Road, Brighton, BN2 9XZ, and follow signs to the Premier Enclosure and Silks Restaurant. The hospitality package includes admission; tickets are sent by email before the fixture and can be scanned from a phone. Gates typically open two hours before the first race, sometimes earlier on feature days. No separate restaurant guest gate time or bag allowance is published.
Accessibility
The racecourse offers lift access to all levels, accessible parking in the Owners & Trainers car park, accessible toilets at the Grandstand and Paddock Suite, and an accessible viewing platform on level three. The venue’s access page does not provide a Silks-table or terrace-specific route description. Call 01273 603580 or email info@brighton-racecourse.co.uk about step-free access and table location. Free personal assistant tickets are issued at the entrance when supporting documents are shown.
Children and families
Under-18s are generally free when accompanying a paying adult, with exclusions for some Festival and Live After Racing events and a limit of three children per adult. A previous hospitality brochure advertised half-price children’s dining on selected fixtures, but the current 2026 listing does not state a child price; contact Brighton for the specific booking.
Tips
- Use a date-specific quote: the official partner listed £99 for a Silks Restaurant booking and £100 for a window table on 30 June 2026, while the October listing showed no price.
- Ask for a terrace table or the window option if the view is central to your choice; these are separately described packages.
- Remember that the terrace is outside. Keep a warm layer handy even if you plan to dine indoors.
- You can leave the restaurant to use the public Grandstand and Parade Ring areas because hospitality admission includes public access.
