Not included

The view

The 2026 Queen Charlotte Stakes listing describes General Admission as an outdoor grounds ticket with garden games and a summer food village. It specifically excludes the Grandstand and marquees, so guests should not expect the same facilities as a higher tier. On a standard meeting, use the ticket description and racecourse map for public viewing boundaries. The site is spread across outdoor areas, and guests walk between the entrance, central course and food outlets.

Food and drink

Public food and drink options vary with the fixture. The Queen Charlotte Stakes page named its bars and food village; the standard FAQ says vendors are cashless.

Summer Street Food Village

The Queen Charlotte Stakes event page describes food stalls in the outdoor grounds; vendors and opening arrangements vary.

Galloping Horse and Level Head Garden

Bars named on the 2026 feature-day ticket. The FAQ says outside bars and vendors are cashless.

Seasonal concessions

The FAQ says mobile food options appear during the summer and peak meetings; it does not promise specific traders.

Facilities

Ticket status

The racecourse update of 16 September 2026 says fixtures are on hold and ticket sales for all other events are paused. Historic ticket pages describe former offers, not tickets currently available to buy.

Payments

The FAQ says the Sports Bar, Grill Kitchen, marquees and outside vendors are cashless. Fairwood and the Club Restaurant accept cash and card. There is no cash machine at the venue.

Betting

Raceday facilities include fixed-odds bookmakers and Tote pool betting. Fairwood and Club packages advertise Tote courier betting to the table.

Toilets and Wi-Fi

The FAQ lists toilets around the venue and free Wi-Fi. Accessible toilets are on each Grandstand level and at the Pavilion and Ticket Office.

Dress code

The racecourse says dress guidance depends on the event. The 2026 ticket described an outdoor summer occasion, not a formal enclosure dress code. Wear weather-ready layers and shoes with grip for the sloped route. Music and feature days may have a different feel from a standard meeting.

Getting in

The main entrance runs through a level-floored Ticket Office. After entry, visitors reach the central course through a pedestrian tunnel and a sloped path of about 130 metres. The general FAQ says gates usually open two hours before the first race, although the fixture page gives the exact schedule. Bags should be no larger than A4 and may be searched. Outside food and alcohol are prohibited; a small sealed bottle of water is allowed.

Accessibility

The racecourse says the Ticket Office is level-floored, then the route into the central course uses a pedestrian tunnel and an approximately 130-metre sloped path. Ramps or lifts reach areas above ground level. A complimentary buggy runs from the Ticket Office to the Grandstand for visitors with mobility difficulties, but it does not collect from cars, carry wheelchairs or children, and can pause at busy times. Accessible toilets are on each Grandstand level and at the Pavilion and Ticket Office. The limited 2-for-1 personal-assistant scheme is for general admission only, not hospitality. Contact the racecourse about the exact route to a booked room; Blue Badge spaces are near the entrance and subject to availability.

Children and families

The FAQ says under-18s enter standard racedays and Family Fun Days free with a full-paying adult, subject to supervision and possible proof of age. Feature-day entertainment requires children to have full-price tickets and sets adult-supervision limits; premium viewing areas may exclude under-18s.
