Where your ticket takes you

Not included

The view

The Paddock Restaurant sits in the main grandstand and looks over the Parade Ring. The Winning Post Restaurant is in the Teign Suite and looks across the track; Newton Abbot describes its view as elevated. Private boxes stand by the winning post and have a dedicated balcony facing the course, with TV screens inside showing the live racing. Your admission badge lets you move between the hospitality room and public viewing spaces, depending on the package description. The point of hospitality is a reserved indoor base and meal; it does not replace going out to see the horses at the rail or in the Parade Ring.

Food and drink

All the hospitality packages include a meal or buffet, with menu and service details set out by the individual restaurant or box package.

Paddock Restaurant

The 2026 package is £90 per person and includes a three-course menu. The room is inside the main grandstand and looks over the Parade Ring; seasonal sample menus are published.

Winning Post Restaurant

The 2026 package is £120 per person and includes a three-course meal. It is in the Teign Suite and has an elevated track view, with local Devon produce and an extensive wine list described by the racecourse.

Private Box Bronze

The 2026 rate is £95 per person for a hot and cold finger buffet, unlimited tea and coffee, and a mini dessert selection. Alcohol is not included; a bar tab or pay-as-you-go bar can be arranged.

Private Box Silver and Gold

Silver is listed at £120 per person and Gold at £135 per person for 2026. Silver adds canapés and a glass of prosecco; Gold is a fork buffet. Both include unlimited tea and coffee.

Facilities

Restaurant seating

Paddock Restaurant and Winning Post Restaurant are separately bookable; each serves a three-course meal and offers an indoor table.

Private balcony

Private boxes have a dedicated viewing balcony, an indoor suite and screens showing the live races.

Raceday information

The Winning Post Restaurant package includes a raceday programme. The private-box packages also list a complimentary programme.

Deposit and balance

Newton Abbot requires a £250 deposit to confirm a private-box hospitality booking; the balance is due 14 days before the event. The deposit is non-refundable if the customer cancels.

Dress code

Newton Abbot asks hospitality guests in its Paddock and Winning Post restaurants to dress smart casual. Sports attire and ripped denim are not permitted in those two booked restaurants, though smart jeans and shorts are allowed. The dress rule does not apply to the casual Paddock Eaterie. For a private box, choose smart casual clothes and avoid sportswear or ripped denim; comfortable shoes still help when you go between the suite and outdoor viewing areas.

Getting in

Arrive through the public racecourse entrance and have your admission badge or restaurant booking ready. The racecourse says gates open at the fixture time shown on the event page; for example, the 17 October 2026 meeting opened at 11:05am before the 1:05pm first race, and the 28 October meeting opened at 11:51am before the 1:51pm first race. General parking uses the Greenhill Way entrance at the traffic lights by Winners Gym. Hospitality pages do not list a separate bag policy or a different public entry gate for restaurant guests.

Accessibility

Newton Abbot’s access statement lists wheelchair-accessible entrances in all betting halls, lifts in the Paddock Betting Hall and Teign Suite, accessible toilets at the Paddock entrance, Terrace Rooms and top floor of the Teign Suite, and an accessible viewing stand at the front of the Paddock Grandstand. Accessible parking is close to the public entrance; the racecourse FAQ says disabled patrons buy their own ticket and one carer is admitted free on the day with proof of disability. The hospitality pages do not describe step-free access to each particular restaurant table or private box; contact the racecourse if you need room-specific access information.

Children and families

Children under 18 are admitted free when accompanied by an adult, but the ticketing pages ask families to add the number of children during online booking. The Paddock Restaurant and Winning Post Restaurant package prices are listed per person and no separate child price is shown. The Paddock Restaurant is described as suitable for families, but contact the restaurant when booking to confirm the child meal arrangement. The private-box page does not publish a child-specific rate.
