Where your ticket takes you

Not included

The view

The Paddock Restaurant gives indoor dining beside the parade ring and has a private balcony facing the track and winning post. The Final Fence Restaurant sits close to the last steeplechase fence, with a private lawn and a bar, so it offers a more trackside setting. Plumpton’s boxes sit in the Southdown and Lewes stands; each has a private balcony. The larger Director’s Suite is on the Sussex Stand and the Directors’ Box has a rooftop terrace above the parade ring. All options pair their own viewing position with an admission ticket, but reserved hospitality spaces are distinct from public standing areas.

Food and drink

Hospitality includes food and drink as part of the booked package; the package type determines the meal and welcome drink.

Paddock Restaurant

The listed package includes a welcome drink, three-course à la carte lunch, coffee and Plumpton petit fours, plus a private table for the day.

Final Fence Restaurant

The listed package includes a welcome drink, three-course set lunch, coffee and Plumpton petit fours. A bar is available within the restaurant.

Private boxes and suites

Published options include Platinum, Gold and Silver menus: canapés and afternoon tea or a cheeseboard at Platinum, three courses at Gold, or a two-course buffet at Silver.

Facilities

Reserved hospitality

Restaurant bookings include a private table for the day, admission and a racecard. Restaurants and boxes must be booked in advance according to Plumpton’s FAQ.

Private boxes

Boxes have a private bar and dining area, television and private balcony. Most require at least eight guests and hold up to 12; adjoining boxes can accommodate larger parties.

Accessibility

The Paddock Restaurant is on the first floor of the Sussex Stand; the racecourse lists an outdoor stair lift to the first floor. Accessible toilets and induction loops are available in several named areas around the venue.

Dress code

Plumpton has no formal dress code, including for racegoers using hospitality, and says guests should feel comfortable. It encourages smart-casual dress for restaurant and private-box guests. Because much of the day takes place outdoors between races, add a warm coat and comfortable shoes. Fancy dress must not be offensive or inappropriate, and the racecourse asks visitors not to wear team kits.

Getting in

Choose the hospitality option on the official fixture booking page or contact Plumpton to book; the restaurant and box admission package is sent as an e-ticket. Guests can access their booked table or box from the time gates open. Times vary by fixture: 19 October 2026 is listed with gates at 12 noon, first race at 2pm and last race at 5.05pm. Paddock Restaurant and Final Fence packages are shown on fixture pages when offered; boxes are enquiry-led and availability is limited.

Accessibility

The Paddock Restaurant is on the first floor of the Sussex Stand. Plumpton lists outdoor seated stair lifts for first-floor access in the Sussex and Southdown stands; the event page also refers to a chair lift for the Paddock Restaurant. Step-free entry is available at the main entrances and ground-floor access is good. Accessible toilets are located at several bars and outside the Final Fence marquee. Eligible guests can arrange one complimentary companion or personal assistant ticket with an accessible admission ticket by contacting the office on 01273 890383 or racing@plumptonracecourse.co.uk.

Children and families

The hospitality package prices are published per person, and Plumpton’s public ticket guidance says accompanied under-18s are free. The hospitality pages do not state a separate child meal price or whether a child can use each adult package, so confirm the menu and seat arrangement with the racecourse when making an advance booking. Family facilities and entertainment are fixture-dependent.

Tips

Upgrading

Plumpton lists Paddock Restaurant, Final Fence Restaurant, private boxes and the Directors’ Box as separate hospitality experiences. The Directors’ Box uses one of the main hospitality packages with a £10 per-person supplement; its minimum booking is 24 adults.
