Dress code
Sedgefield says Grandstand & Paddock is smart casual and discourages sportswear, jogging bottoms, sports shorts and football or rugby shirts; smart jeans are acceptable. Hospitality guests tend to dress smartly. Bring warm layers and shoes suitable for damp grass and the walk between indoor and outdoor areas.
Getting in
Buy through the fixture page or at the main gate by card, subject to capacity. Online advance prices were £17 for 18 October and £18 for 3 November 2026; no fixed gate rate is published. Gates open two hours before the first race. Mobile and paper tickets are accepted.
Accessibility
Accessible toilets and two lifts are available. Accessible parking near admissions includes five dedicated wheelchair spaces on a first-come basis. A free personal assistant ticket can be arranged by email at least 24 hours ahead. Some paths cross grass and external covered Grandstand viewing is reached via terraced steps. Sedgefield does not publish room-by-room measurements; contact the course about a named hospitality space before booking. Tarmac routes serve most stands and link the Parade Ring with the Winners Enclosure. The external covered stand viewing uses terraced steps. Orientation visits can be arranged 48 hours ahead.
Children and families
Children aged 17 and under go free with an adult at most fixtures, though exclusions may apply. Hospitality may require separate under-18 arrangements, and the course does not publish universal child meal prices. Ask about the named fixture package before booking. Children do not need advance tickets; the free ticket is issued at the course on the day.
Tips
- Choose the fixture first: the displayed rates are £17 and £18 for different 2026 dates, not one season-wide price.
- Confirm weather clothing and a payment card, as gate purchases are card-only before travelling.
- Use the course map to find the main entrance, stands and Parade Ring; allow time to visit the Parade Ring.
- Keep the emailed ticket handy; Sedgefield accepts phone or printed tickets.
