Where your ticket takes you

Not included

The view

This is a practical choice for visitors who want the pre-parade and Parade Rings as part of their general admission. The Grandstand gives a central vantage over the track, while the paddock side lets you see horses close up before they race. The official ticket listing does not describe a reserved seat, so expect to use the public viewing spaces rather than a numbered place.

Food and drink

Uttoxeter describes bars and food outlets in every enclosure, with a fish and chip shop among its named favourites. The particular concessions open depend on the fixture.

Grandstand public bars

The official 2027 listing includes the Grandstand public bars with this ticket.

Fish and Chip shop

The racecourse FAQ identifies this as a popular food concession; it also says outlets vary depending on the meeting.

Public eateries

Food can be bought in the public Grandstand area. Outside food is not allowed in this enclosure.

Facilities

Betting

Public betting outlets are listed in each enclosure. The racecourse notes bars and food concessions vary with the expected attendance.

Toilets and accessible facilities

The official venue accessibility information lists designated toilets in the public areas. Check the course map on arrival to locate the nearest facilities.

Payments

The FAQs state that tickets bought at the gate on race day must be paid for by card. Bars and food outlets are cashless; bookmakers may have separate payment arrangements.

Dress code

Uttoxeter has no strict enclosure dress code. The racecourse recommends smart casual clothing; its firm restrictions are sporting team shirts and offensive fancy dress. Most of the meeting is outdoors and routes include grass, so choose weatherproof layers and comfortable shoes with grip. The racecourse says hospitality has no separate dress code.

Getting in

All enclosures and hospitality use the main entrance on Wood Lane, with signs directing visitors from the car parks. For the Sunday 4 October 2026 fixture, the published opening time was 10:50am and the first race was 12:51pm; timings vary by meeting. Tickets arrive by email, although Premier tickets are posted unless bought within two weeks, when they are held at the gate. New on-the-day gate sales are card only. Bags are searched; outside food is not allowed in Premier or Grandstand & Paddock, and no outside alcohol is allowed anywhere.

Accessibility

Designated accessible parking is on tarmac close to the main entrance; most facilities are at ground level and designated toilets are available. A wheelchair viewing point overlooks the track and has a dedicated CCTV monitor. Personal assistants receive free admission when accompanying a paying visitor with accessibility needs: bring evidence such as PIP, DLA, Attendance Allowance or AFIP paperwork to collect the pass at the entrance. You can email info@uttoxeter-racecourse.co.uk at least 48 hours ahead to request arrangements; availability applies.

Children aged 17 and under can attend free with a paying adult, up to three children per adult, although exclusions apply to some live-after-racing events. No child ticket is needed in advance for standard admission: the free ticket is issued at the entrance. This is a racecourse entry offer; it does not promise a free restaurant meal or a reserved hospitality seat.
