Who it suits
- First-time racegoers who want to see the racing, look around the public areas and keep the ticket simple.
- Families: children aged 17 and under are generally admitted free with an accompanying adult.
- Visitors who prefer to choose food and drinks on the day rather than pay for a restaurant package.

Where your ticket takes you
- Public areas of the racecourse, including the public bars and Blinkers Bar.
- The public Grandstand and public viewing areas near the home straight and finishing line.
- Public viewing of the Parade Ring, where runners are shown before their races.
- Public eateries and betting outlets; the course has bookmakers around the track and betting points inside the Grandstand.
Not included
- The Premier Viewing suite and its private balcony, which require a separate ticket.
- Restaurant tables, hospitality suites and private boxes, sold as hospitality packages on selected fixtures.
- A meal or drink unless you choose a separate raceday package such as the ticket bundles shown for that fixture.
The view
The public Grandstand faces the racing and offers close views of the finishing line and home straight. The admission description also identifies views of the Parade Ring and winners’ enclosure, so there is more to see than just the race itself. There are public areas outside as well as indoor places to take shelter; general admission is not a reserved-seat ticket, and seating is limited, so expect to stand for much of the meeting.
Food and drink
There are public bars and food outlets around the course. Specific outlets and menus can change with the fixture.
Blinkers Bar
Named by the racecourse as one of the public facilities included with General Admission.
Public eateries and bars
The course says public bars and food outlets operate on site, with a choice of eateries and betting outlets. Its visitor information does not provide a permanent list of every stall or menu.
Facilities
Betting
Bookmakers are positioned around the track and the Grandstand has betting points. The FAQ says there are no cash machines on site, so bring payment options that work for your plans.
Map
The downloadable racecourse map shows the car parks, toilets, bars, restaurants, main entrance, Grandstand, Parade Ring and accessible viewing platform.
Seating and shelter
There are indoor public spaces and Grandstand areas, but the racecourse says seating is limited. Wear comfortable footwear and plan to spend time standing outdoors.
Dress code
Ffos Las is relaxed about clothing, but its published dress code bans ripped or torn jeans, trainers, rugby and other sporting team shirts, and offensive or tasteless fancy dress. Smart clothes are common on feature days, but there is no general formal dress code for ordinary admission. Most racing is outdoors, so bring a waterproof layer in wet weather and comfortable shoes for sloping paths.
Getting in
Enter through the main public entrance and have your ticket ready. Gate opening times vary by fixture and are listed on the event page; there is no single year-round time. Under-18s do not need an advance ticket: the course says their free ticket is issued on the day. Food and alcohol from outside are not normally permitted. A limited summer picnic exception applies only on dates stated in the FAQ, with no alcohol or open bottles and cans.
Accessibility
There is level access from the car park and an additional accessible entrance, but some paths slope and soft grass needs care. Accessible viewing areas are allocated and cannot be reserved; raised Grandstand viewing is near the finish. Accessible toilets are provided. A personal assistant can enter free with a full-price ticket for a guest with access needs; contact the racecourse at least 24 hours before the fixture because tickets are subject to availability. Blue Badge parking details are in the racecourse travel information.
Children and families
Children aged 17 and under go free when accompanied by an adult, with a free ticket issued on the day; the racecourse notes that exclusions may apply. The admission ticket-types page shows under-18 entry as free online and at the gate. Parents should keep children with them around the busy viewing areas and check whether a special fixture has different conditions.
Tips
- Book online in advance for the lowest published starting price: the 2026 list begins at £15, compared with £20 at the gate.
- On 14 October 2026, advance General Admission was £16; concessions were listed separately and require valid ID.
- Download the course map before you set off so you can find the main entrance, Grandstand, Parade Ring and toilets.
- Bring a waterproof layer and comfortable shoes. General areas include outdoor standing, and some paths are sloped.
Upgrading
At selected fixtures you can buy add-on packages that bundle admission with a racecard, food or drinks. On 14 October 2026, the event listing showed a £25 package with a hot pie, a pint or soft drink and a racecard, and a £25 two-drink package. Premier Viewing and hospitality require their own separately priced ticket.
