Ffos Las is a modern racecourse in Carmarthenshire’s Gwendraeth Valley, built on a former opencast coal site. It races on the Flat in summer and over jumps from autumn. The rural course is between Llanelli and Carmarthen, with free parking and a race-day shuttle from Llanelli station for £1 each way. Children under 18 enter free. Llanelli and Carmarthen offer hotels, food, theatre and museums, while the nearby coast and countryside give visitors room to extend a racing trip.

Its current dedicated dress page excludes ripped or torn jeans, trainers, sports team shirts and offensive or unsuitable fancy dress. Tasteful fancy dress is welcome. Visitors can choose smart-casual clothes or dress up for a special meeting, but should check the forecast and bring protection for cold, wet or sunny conditions.
