The view
Bibury Lawn is on the winning-post side of the course and gives a close outdoor position for the finish. The Bibury Stand is just behind it; the ground-floor bar has soft furnishings, tables and a patio facing the Parade Ring. The 1584 Restaurant does not have a direct view of the course, according to its package description, but guests are a short walk from the lawn. Conservatory guests can look towards the Parade Ring.
Food and drink
Bibury has several named bars and a food counter. Its restaurants are separately booked packages and should not be confused with the standard enclosure ticket.
Bibury Bar & food servery
The main bar is on the ground floor of the Bibury Stand, with tables, soft seats and a patio towards the Parade Ring. The adjoining servery provides food.
Wessex Bar
A named bar in the Bibury Enclosure, included in the course’s food and drink listing.
Persian Punch Bar
A further Bibury bar listed by the racecourse. It adds another choice for drinks without leaving the enclosure.
1584 and Conservatory restaurants
Both operate as reserved dining packages. The 1584 package has no direct course view; the Conservatory offers a view of the Parade Ring. Each includes Bibury entry and a reserved table.
Facilities
Bibury Lawn
An outdoor viewing area beside the winning post, a good spot for the final stages of a race.
Stand and patio
The Bibury Bar has indoor tables and chairs plus an outside patio towards the Parade Ring.
Betting
The course’s ticket page includes betting facilities in the venue; the Bibury Bar is positioned for a drink between the lawn and on-course bookmakers or Tote.
Accessible facilities
Accessible toilets are on both the ground and first floors of the Bibury Suite. Wheelchair users can use the Wiltshire Stand lift to the roof terrace.
Dress code
Salisbury asks visitors to dress for comfort and enjoyment; many racegoers choose a smarter style in Bibury, particularly on feature days. Football sportswear and offensive fancy dress are not allowed, and the racecourse reserves the right to refuse admission for inappropriate clothing. Bring a layer for the open lawn, even if you plan to use the indoor bars.
Getting in
Use the Bibury entrance identified on your ticket and follow the car-park stewards’ directions. The published map shows the course layout and car parks but does not assign numbered public gates to each enclosure. At the 2026 Season Finale on 1 October, gates opened at midday; fixture times vary. Bags may be searched on entry and the racegoers’ guide does not give a bag-size limit.
Accessibility
There is an uncovered wheelchair viewing ramp in each enclosure. Bibury visitors can also take the lift inside the Wiltshire Stand to its roof terrace, asking security staff at the stand entrance for help. Accessible toilets are on the ground-floor Bibury Suite foyer and first-floor foyer by the restaurant. Ten accessible parking spaces are on grass in Car Park 2; tell attendants if using another car park. Free personal-assistant entry is available with proof of DLA, AA, PIP, AFIP or registered-blind status. Email emma@salisburyracecourse.co.uk with the ticket order number before raceday; a Blue Badge alone is not accepted.
Children and families
Accompanied children aged 17 and under are admitted free to Salisbury race meetings. The racecourse’s 2026 finale page confirms free child entry; it does not publish a Bibury child ticket price. Restaurants and hospitality may have separate booking arrangements for children, so the general free-admission policy should not be read as a free meal or reserved dining place.
Tips
- Walk out to Bibury Lawn for the finish rather than assuming every indoor bar has a track view.
- If you want a full meal and a reserved table, book a restaurant package separately; standard Bibury admission does not buy the meal.
- Use the patio by the Bibury Bar for a view towards the Parade Ring between races.
- Wear shoes for grass and bring a layer for the exposed lawn; indoor cover is in the stand and bars.
Upgrading
Bibury is the highest public ticket tier. Its online starting rate was £26 on non-music days in 2026; the ticket page lists £33 for the four music evenings.
