Grandstand & Paddock Enclosure at Salisbury
This is Salisbury’s central public enclosure for stand viewing, the Parade Ring and Winners’ Enclosure. Its bars, bookmakers and mobile food outlets make it a good all-round ticket if you want to follow the horses before each race as well as watch the finish.

Where your ticket takes you
- The Grandstand & Paddock public enclosure, including the main twin-level viewing stand and lawns.
- The Parade Ring and Winners’ Enclosure, both specifically included in the ticket description.
- The Tattersalls Bar, Paddock Bar and public betting facilities listed for this side of the course.

The view
The main twin-level grandstand gives a view across the course and the large screen faces the enclosure. From here you can move to the Parade Ring before a race and to the Winners’ Enclosure afterwards. The trackside lawns provide a less structured outside view. The racecourse’s catering page says the enclosure has a good course and big-screen view, and provides parade-ring viewing.
Food and drink
Grandstand & Paddock has bars and mobile catering, with the exact food trailers varying by meeting. The racecourse names the Tattersalls Bar beneath the grandstand terracing and also lists the Paddock Bar and decking.
Tattersalls Bar
A popular bar beneath the grandstand terracing, with a fully stocked bar and an indoor seating area.
Paddock Bar and decking
The paddock area includes a bar and outdoor decking, listed among the Grandstand & Paddock facilities.
Mobile catering units
The racecourse brings in mobile food outlets. Its listed examples include hot food options; what is present depends on the profile of the raceday.
Other temporary bars
The course sometimes adds pop-up bars on feature meetings. The 2026 ticket page does not promise a fixed temporary-bar line-up for every fixture.
Facilities
Parade and Winners’ rings
Grandstand & Paddock admission includes access to both areas, so you can see the horses before and after their races.
Bookmakers and Tote
The racecourse lists bookmakers and Tote betting in the enclosure and lower Tote windows around the course.
Big screens
A large screen faces the enclosures, with another screen opposite the Parade Ring.
Accessible toilets
Facilities are in the toilet block beyond the bookmakers and by the Paddock Bar.
Dress code
There is no formal dress code, and the racecourse’s stated priority is comfortable clothing. Many people choose a smarter style on feature days, but that is optional. Football sportswear and offensive fancy dress are not accepted. The viewing lawns are outdoors, so wear practical shoes and dress for the weather.
Getting in
Follow the Grandstand & Paddock entrance on your ticket and the racecourse car-park stewards’ directions. The online course map shows layout and parking but does not give numbered public gates by enclosure. For the 2026 Season Finale on 1 October the gates opened at midday, with the first race at 2:04pm and the last at 4:55pm; times change by fixture. Bags may be searched on entry; a bag-size limit is not published.
Accessibility
There is an uncovered wheelchair viewing ramp in Grandstand & Paddock and accessible toilets beyond the bookmakers and near the Paddock Bar. Wheelchair users can also use the lift inside the Wiltshire Stand to reach the roof terrace; ask the security team at the stand. Ten accessible car spaces are on grass in Car Park 2. Free personal-assistant entry is available when the paying visitor supplies proof of DLA, AA, PIP, AFIP or registered-blind status; apply before the raceday by emailing emma@salisburyracecourse.co.uk with the ticket order number. A Blue Badge by itself is not accepted, and the racecourse does not lend wheelchairs.
Children and families
Children aged 17 and under enter free when accompanied by an adult at Salisbury meetings. The 2026 Season Finale page confirms free admission and says no extra children’s facilities were planned for that fixture. The ticket page does not list a separate price for a child in Grandstand & Paddock because the published racecourse policy is free accompanied admission.
Tips
- Arrive before the first race and visit the Parade Ring to see the runners close up; it is included in this ticket.
- Use the twin-level stand or the large screen when the lawn is busy, then return to the ring between races.
- The ticket page does not publish a standing Grandstand & Paddock rate, so use the fixture’s actual event listing rather than assuming Sarum’s lower price applies.
- Keep a waterproof layer handy and allow time for the walk between the enclosure, Parade Ring and car parks.
Upgrading
Bibury is the premium option and its ticket page advertises Bibury Lawn by the winning post plus every bar except Owners & Trainers. The racecourse does not publish a fixed Grandstand-to-Bibury upgrade price.
