Where your ticket takes you

Not included

The view

The Head-on Box is described as a small private space alongside the track with a head-on view. It has a heater and two stools, making it a sheltered place to follow racing between visits outside. The exact view may depend on the box position and race setup; the event page does not provide a plan or guarantee that the finish line is visible from the box. Use the included Day Member tickets to watch from the Grandstand and other public areas as well.

Food and drink

Food is not included, but the box package allows a picnic or food from the course vendors.

Bring a picnic

The event page says guests may bring their own picnic into the Head-on Box. Outside alcohol is prohibited by the racecourse.

Mobile catering

Food can be purchased from Fakenham’s mobile catering units, with options such as burgers, bacon rolls, seafood, Thai food, fish and chips and coffee.

Drink vouchers

The package includes vouchers for drinks. The racecourse does not state the voucher value or which products they can be used for.

Facilities

Heater and stools

The small box has a heater and two stools. There is no indication that it contains further seating.

Parking beside the box

The package includes a car parking ticket for a space directly adjacent to the box.

Racecards and admission

Two Day Member tickets and racecards are included. Day Member admission gives access to all racecourse areas.

Dress code

Fakenham advises practical clothing suited to the weather and has no formal dress code for racegoers. The Head-on Box has a heater, but guests will be outside when walking to the Parade Ring, Grandstand or catering. Bring a coat and comfortable shoes. The course welcomes well-behaved dogs on short leads outdoors, but they cannot enter boxes or other indoor spaces unless they are assistance dogs.

Getting in

The current event page lists the Head-on Box for the 16 October 2026 Season Opener. Follow the entry details attached to your booking; Fakenham recommends Pudding Norton, NR21 7NA, for e-ticket holders and the Members’ side. The box package includes its own adjacent parking ticket. Keep the two e-tickets ready on a phone or in print so gate staff can scan each one. Gate opening for the opener is listed as 11am.

Accessibility

Fakenham provides accessible parking and viewing areas and says its facilities include disabled access, but the Head-on Box page does not describe its threshold, approach or accessible seating. Contact the office before booking to confirm whether it will meet your needs. A qualifying disabled visitor may apply in advance for one complimentary personal assistant ticket matching a paid ticket; the current box package includes Day Member admissions, but the assistant arrangement must be confirmed directly with the racecourse.
