Where your ticket takes you

Not included

The view

Marquee hospitality gives your group a dedicated catered base, but Fakenham’s hospitality page does not promise a particular position or a direct view from inside every marquee. The public racecourse has outdoor viewing areas around its compact track, and your group booking should specify where to gather and which badge permits entry. Ask the racecourse how far the marquee is from the track and whether guests can return to it throughout the meeting.

Food and drink

Catering is the point of the marquee package, with menu length and extras agreed before the event.

Two-course menu

The corporate page lists a two-course package at £130 plus VAT per person for a minimum of 40 guests.

Three-course menu

A three-course package is listed at £140 plus VAT per person, also with a 40-person minimum.

Afternoon tea

The racecourse lists afternoon tea as an optional extra at £18 plus VAT per person.

Facilities

Group capacity

Fakenham says marquees can cater for at least 40 and up to around 300 guests.

Parking

General car parking at Fakenham is free. Group coaches should use the Gallows Sports Centre entrance, NR21 7NY; confirm the vehicle arrangements with the event organiser.

Catered event planning

The racecourse tailors hospitality to the group. Confirm menu choices, dietary needs, arrival time and any furniture or access requirements directly with the venue.

Dress code

Fakenham’s general advice is to wear clothing appropriate for the weather; it has no formal dress code for racegoers. A marquee may be outdoors or exposed to wind and rain, so bring layers and practical shoes. For a corporate or hosted gathering, smart casual is a sensible choice, but the racecourse does not publish a separate marquee dress rule.

Getting in

The hospitality page asks organisers to contact Fakenham about availability; your event booking should confirm the marquee location, entrance and admission badges. For e-ticketed public entry, the course recommends Pudding Norton, NR21 7NA. Group coaches should use the Gallows Sports Centre entrance, NR21 7NY. Have e-tickets ready to scan at the relevant gate, and use the fixture page for that day’s gate opening time.

Accessibility

Fakenham advertises accessible parking and viewing areas, and says venue buildings have disabled access and facilities. The corporate hospitality page does not describe the access surface or route to a marquee, so request that information before paying. A qualifying racegoer can apply in advance for one free personal assistant ticket matching their admission badge; the process requires supporting evidence and booking details by email. A Blue Badge alone does not meet the personal assistant ticket criteria.

Children and families

The racecourse admits accompanied under-18s free to ordinary fixtures, but the marquee page gives no child catering rate. Since the published menu prices are per person, confirm whether children count toward the minimum 40 guests and how their meals are priced before settling the group numbers.
