- Club Enclosure entry, including the Paddock, Chase Bar and Club Lawn.
- The Curlew Room bar and snack menu, with food and drink bought separately.
- Betting facilities in the room and access to the wider public racecourse areas.
Not included
- A meal or included drinks: the £42 ticket includes a racecard and table, while snacks and drinks can be purchased in the room.
- Afternoon tea; this is an additional £27 per person and is offered only at selected meetings.

The view
The Curlew Room has a panoramic view of the racecourse from the Ramshaw Stand. It gives you an indoor base and a private table, while Club admission lets you head outside to the Club Lawn, use the Chase Bar and visit the Paddock. Window tables are limited; if you ask for one, treat it as a request rather than a promise.
Food and drink
The Curlew Room ticket leaves you free to choose from a snack menu rather than including a set meal.
Snack menu
Hexham says the room offers snacks such as a hot dish, pies and sandwiches. Food is bought separately from the room’s hospitality ticket.
Curlew Room bar
The package page says the room has its own full bar. The £42 ticket description does not list any drinks as included.
Optional afternoon tea
Afternoon tea can be added for £27 per person, but the racecourse says the option is not available at every meeting.
Facilities
Private table
Your designated table stays yours during the day, so you can leave for a race and return between events.
Betting desk and screens
The room has a betting desk and TV screens, and Britbet betting couriers are listed for the Curlew Room.
Ramshaw Stand lift
A lift runs from ground to second floor in the stand. Accessible toilets are on its first floor.
Dress code
Hexham asks hospitality guests to wear smart casual clothing. Public areas have no strict dress code; jeans and shorts are permitted, but football tops are not, and fancy dress should be respectable and not offensive. The room is indoors, but the Club Lawn and Paddock are open-air, so dress for the weather and wear shoes that are comfortable on outdoor ground.
Getting in
The Curlew Room is in the Ramshaw Stand. Book directly with the racecourse office on 01434 606881; advance booking is essential and the package is not sold at every meeting. Your package includes Club Enclosure admission. Check the relevant raceday listing for gates opening and follow signs to the stand. No outside alcohol is allowed, and food cannot be taken into the buildings unless purchased on site.
Accessibility
The Ramshaw Stand lift connects the ground floor to the second floor and there is an accessible toilet on the first floor. Hexham’s disabled viewing area is in the Paddock below the Parade Ring. Blue Badge parking is behind the Bramble and Tudor Bars and Henderson Suite; tell stewards on arrival and display the badge. Assistance dogs can enter all areas. A carer accompanying a paying disabled visitor receives free admission to Paddock or Club; call the office to arrange the ticket and confirm the room access route.
Children and families
The published 2026 Curlew Room price is £19 for an accompanied under-18, compared with £42 per adult. The racecourse separately states that under-18s receive free general admission when accompanied by an adult. Hospitality tickets require pre-booking; confirm child meal costs and any age conditions with the office.
Tips
- Book by phone in advance and confirm that the Curlew package is offered at your chosen meeting.
- The £42 package includes a designated table and Club entry, but not food or drinks; set a separate food budget.
- Add afternoon tea only if the fixture offers it; the published price is an extra £27 per person.
- Request a window table early if you want one, while remembering the course cannot guarantee it.
