The view

Kelso places the Final Furlong Marquee trackside near the Tweedie Stand and adjacent to the final hurdle. The location is useful for following the action close to the end of the race, while the glass frontage gives an indoor view. The official page does not promise that every table has a direct view through the glass, so use the outside public viewing areas for an unobstructed race view. Your hospitality admission lets you step out to the trackside ramps or walk to the Parade Ring between races.

Food and drink

The package combines a meal and afternoon tea with the racecourse’s public food and drink outlets nearby.

Final Furlong meal

Kelso lists a glass of bubbly on arrival, a two-course lunch and afternoon tea in this package. The booking page also lists a pre-race tipster and Tote betting service.

Tweedie Stand ground-floor bar

The self-service outlet in the Tweedie Stand sells drinks and snacks without a table booking. It is handy for a quick stop while using the public area.

Rosie’s Bistro

The bistro marquee by the Parade Ring serves a carvery using locally sourced produce. It is a separate option and tables turn over during the day, unlike the hospitality package’s reserved table.

Facilities

Reserved hospitality table

The package reserves a table for the afternoon and includes a cash bar, racecard and CCTV coverage of the races.

Public betting

Tote betting is listed as part of the package. Kelso’s map places independent bookmakers outside the Tweedie Grandstand and Tote facilities around the course.

Toilets and access routes

The public accessible toilets are in Tweedie Grandstand on both floors and on the ground floor of Younger Grandstand. The official access page does not describe a step-free route into the marquee itself.

Dress code

The racecourse has no general dress code, but corporate hospitality guests are asked to wear smart casual clothing. There is no requirement to wear formal race-day clothes. This is a marquee beside the track, so bring a waterproof and warm layer for the outdoor parts of the day and choose comfortable shoes for the route to the Parade Ring.

Getting in

Enter at Kelso’s main racecourse entrance, one mile north of town, and show your hospitality ticket. For the 4 October 2026 Family Fun fixture, gates open at 11:30am and the first race is at 1:45pm; each fixture publishes its own timetable. Racecourse terms prohibit knives, fireworks, air horns, cans and glassware in public enclosures, and the hospitality page gives no bag-size limit. Scan your ticket out before leaving during racing if you plan to return.

Accessibility

Kelso’s public areas are mostly tarmac, and it provides firm flat alternatives where gravel occurs. Three huddle platforms overlook the Parade Ring and Winners Enclosure, with two raised ramps for track viewing. Permanent accessible toilets are in the Tweedie and Younger stands. The accessibility page does not state whether the Final Furlong Marquee entrance is step-free or how a personal-assistant ticket is booked; email info@kelso-races.co.uk or call 01573 221221 for those details before selecting this location. Blue Badge parking at the front of the main car park is subject to space.

Children and families

Under-18s are admitted free to Kelso’s public enclosure when with a responsible adult. The Final Furlong package is sold per person and includes hospitality dining; Kelso does not publish a separate child hospitality rate, so ask the office how a child’s meal and seat are charged. Under-18s must remain with an adult, and children under 12 are not permitted in the Parade Ring or Winners Enclosure during racing without the safety officer’s permission.
