Where your ticket takes you

Not included

The view

The room sits on the first floor of the Tweedie Grandstand and Kelso describes the Platinum package as having views over the racecourse. It gives you a sheltered place to watch between visits outside. For a closer look at the runners, step out to the Parade Ring or use the public trackside viewing ramps. The exact seat or table position is not specified on the booking page, so treat the view as a room-wide feature rather than a guaranteed individual window seat.

Food and drink

The package combines a served meal with simple trackside choices when you leave the room.

Platinum lunch

The official package includes a three-course lunch and a glass of bubbly on arrival. Kelso also lists a pre-race tipster and Tote betting service as part of the experience.

Tweedie Stand ground-floor bar

A self-service counter sells drinks and snacks without a booking. It is a separate quick-stop option from the Platinum meal upstairs.

Rosie’s Bistro

The racecourse’s bistro marquee sits beside the Parade Ring and serves a carvery. Tables turn between customers, so this is not the reserved all-afternoon seat included in Platinum.

Facilities

Reserved table and cash bar

The package includes a table for the afternoon and a cash bar, as well as racecard, tipster and Tote betting service.

Lift and toilets

Kelso says hospitality in the Tweedie Grandstand is lift-accessible. Permanent accessible toilets are on both floors of the stand.

Betting

Tote betting service is listed among the Platinum inclusions. Tote facilities and independent bookmakers are also available around the racecourse.

Dress code

Kelso has no general dress code, but asks corporate hospitality guests to wear smart casual clothing. Tweed is not required. Choose shoes that cope with walking outdoors between the room, Parade Ring and viewing areas, and bring a warm waterproof layer for the Scottish Borders weather.

Getting in

Use the racecourse’s main entrance, one mile north of Kelso town centre, and bring the hospitality ticket with you. For Family Fun Raceday on 4 October 2026, the published gate time is 11:30am and the first race is at 1:45pm; times vary by fixture. Kelso’s terms prohibit knives, fireworks, air horns, cans and drinking glasses or glass bottles in the enclosures. Its hospitality page does not publish a bag-size allowance. If you leave during racing, scan out so your ticket remains valid for re-entry.

Accessibility

The Tweedie Grandstand hospitality rooms are accessible by lift. Accessible toilets are available on both floors, and the ground-floor bar has a hearing loop near the cafeteria. Kelso’s accessibility page describes three step-free huddle platforms and two raised track-viewing ramps in the public areas. It does not set out a personal-assistant ticket process; contact the racecourse on 01573 221221 or info@kelso-races.co.uk before booking to discuss access requirements. Blue Badge spaces are at the front of the car park, subject to availability.

Children and families

Children aged 17 and under are admitted free to the public racecourse when accompanied by a responsible adult, and do not need a public admission ticket. The Platinum booking is priced per person and includes food and a reserved table; Kelso does not publish a separate children’s hospitality rate, so the free public admission rule should not be taken to mean a complimentary meal package. Under-18s must be accompanied by an adult, and children under 12 may not enter the Parade Ring or Winners Enclosure during racing without permission from the safety officer.
