Dalby Stand Shared Hospitality at Pontefract

Smaller groups can book a table in a Dalby Stand box through shared dining packages rather than hiring a whole private box. The choices include the advance-only Dalby Buffet, the Sunday Special carvery and the midweek Dine & View package.

Where your ticket takes you

Not included

The view

The shared packages use tables in boxes in the Dalby Stand, whose hospitality page describes outlooks down the finishing straight or over the Parade Ring. The racecourse identifies balconies from the Dalby Stand for hospitality viewing. A table in this shared arrangement is not described as a separately chosen window position, so use the balcony for a clearer outdoor look at the course and return to the table for food. You also have the Premier badge to move through the public enclosures.

Food and drink

The packages bundle meals with admission. The 2026 pages list the Dalby Buffet’s menu and pricing, but the Sunday menu remains represented by a 2025 menu link.

Dalby Stand Buffet

A grazing buffet with hot and cold items and dessert, available on non-Sunday racedays except Ladies Day; the £72 midweek or £77 Friday evening package is advance only.

Sunday Special

A two-course Sunday carvery with Premier admission, racecard and table. The 2026 package costs £75 for adults and £34 for under-18s; the 2026 menu was not published on the page.

Dine & View

A midweek option listed at £130 plus VAT, with a waitress-served three-course lunch, half bottle of house wine per person and afternoon tea.

Bars

Dalby packages include hospitality spaces; other bars across Premier are available with the included admission badge.

Facilities

Reserved table

Dalby Buffet and Sunday Special reserve a table for the day in the Dalby Stand boxes.

Racecard

The two shared packages explicitly include a racecard.

Balcony viewing

The hospitality information lists viewing balconies in the Dalby Stand.

Advance booking

The Dalby Buffet and Sunday Special are sold only in advance; the course offers online booking and telephone booking.

Dress code

These packages include admission to the Premier Enclosure, so Pontefract’s Premier smart-casual request applies: no scruffy jeans, shorts, T-shirts, sportswear or trainers; a jacket and tie are not required. The hosted table adds an indoor meal, but you may still walk around the outdoor enclosures. Choose comfortable shoes and carry weatherproof layers if you plan to watch from the balcony or visit the Parade Ring.

Getting in

The shared Dalby package includes a Premier Enclosure badge. Use the Premier entrance marked on the official map (what3words: nest.test.trip), then follow venue staff signs for the Dalby Stand; the published map gives the building and stand layout. The Dalby Buffet and Sunday Special must be booked before raceday; Dine & View enquiries go through the listed hospitality contact. General course opening guidance is noon midweek, 11.30am Sunday and 4.30pm evenings, but the fixture page gives the date’s actual schedule. The FAQ does not state a general bag-size limit.

Accessibility

The racecourse says lifts in the Dalby Stand serve every floor, with step-free routes, accessible toilets and viewing ramps in all enclosures. The public hospitality page does not explain whether each shared table or balcony is independently wheelchair accessible; ask the racecourse about the exact room and table when booking. To arrange a free PA ticket, the visitor must first hold their own admission and apply in advance online or by phone on 01977 781307 with the evidence Pontefract requests. A Blue Badge alone is not accepted.

Children and families

Accompanied under-18s are admitted free to public enclosures. Package prices differ: the Sunday Special is £34 for an under-18 in 2026, while the Dalby Buffet page does not publish a child price; the separate Park Suite child price does not automatically apply to Dalby packages. The course’s standard entry rules require children to be with an adult, and the family ticket is not the same product as this hospitality package.
