Who it suits
- Families looking for the lowest-priced adult general admission, with a playground to help children fill the gaps between races.
- Groups who want to bring a picnic and sit at one of the benches in the centre of the course.
- Racegoers who want trackside views and a relaxed outdoor day without the Grandstand restaurant and parade-ring facilities.

Where your ticket takes you
- The Course Enclosure in the centre of the racecourse, with trackside viewing.
- The children’s playground and open picnic spaces with benches.
- The Course Enclosure bar at every meeting, weekend café, on-course bookmakers and Tote facilities.
- A Grandstand ticket includes Course Enclosure access, but a Course ticket does not permit entry to the Grandstand.
Not included
- Grandstand viewing steps, the Parade Ring and Winners’ Enclosure are not included with a Course-only ticket.
- The Grandstand restaurants, Petch Stand and private hospitality areas require a Grandstand or separately booked hospitality ticket.
The view
Both Redcar public enclosures have trackside viewing, so Course guests can watch the horses pass on their way to the Winning Post. This enclosure is set in the centre of the course, with broad outdoor picnic space and a playground. You can use the big screen on racedays and TVs inside the café and bar to follow the racing when away from the rail. The Course ticket does not include the Grandstand steps or public Parade Ring viewing.
Food and drink
Course Enclosure catering is simpler than in the Grandstand, with a bar at every meeting and a café on weekend fixtures.
Course bar
Redcar says a bar facility is available at every meeting.
Weekend café
A café operates on weekend race days; the racecourse does not promise that it opens at midweek meetings.
Picnic areas
Visitors may bring a picnic to eat in the Course Enclosure. Alcohol brought in is limited to personal consumption.
Facilities
Children’s playground
The family area has a playground to occupy children between races.
Screens
A big screen operates on all racedays; TVs in cafés and bars show racing and runners and riders.
Betting
On-course bookmakers and Tote betting facilities are available every raceday.
Parking
Free general parking is available. Most Course Enclosure parking is on grass.
Dress code
Redcar has no formal dress code, and casual clothes or jeans are fine. The Course Enclosure is largely outdoors, so bring weatherproof layers and shoes suitable for grass and walking. If bringing a picnic, use a bag that is easy to carry from the West Dyke Road entrance.
Getting in
Use the Course Enclosure entrance on West Dyke Road, postcode TS10 1HT. There is no access into the Grandstand from the Course Enclosure. The racecourse says visitors may pay at the gate by cash or card; tickets are checked and bags may be searched. Its 2026 admission page sets advance prices through 23:59 two days before the raceday and full-price gate admission thereafter.
Accessibility
Reserved Blue Badge parking is available at the Course Enclosure. Redcar offers a free Digital Access Card and companion-ticket scheme; contact access officer Amy Fair at info@redcarracing.co.uk or 01642 484 068 for the route from West Dyke Road, accessible viewing or toilet details. The Course enclosure entrance is separate from the Grandstand gate, and much of its parking is on grass, so describe any mobility requirements when planning your arrival.
Children and families
Accompanied under-18s are admitted free to every Redcar fixture. The Course Enclosure is the family option: it has a playground and picnic benches, and adults may bring food. Redcar does not publish a separate child ticket price for this enclosure because the accompanied under-18 ticket is free.
Tips
- Enter from West Dyke Road, TS10 1HT; the Grandstand is a separate area and its gate is not accessible from this enclosure.
- Bring a picnic if that suits your day, but keep brought-in alcohol within the stated personal-consumption limit: four cans per person, with no glass bottles.
- Leave disposable barbecues, gazebos and footballs at home; the course prohibits them inside its enclosures.
- The café is published as a weekend facility, so plan for the bar and picnic option at midweek fixtures.
Upgrading
Redcar says Course-to-Grandstand transfers are available on all race days. Grandstand tickets already include both public enclosures; ask at the course about the transfer process and any price for upgrading a Course ticket.
