Altior’s Restaurant at Market Rasen
Altior’s is Market Rasen’s restaurant hospitality option, with a reserved table and views over the Pre-Parade Ring, racecourse and Winners’ Enclosure. The online Best of British 2026 package includes a two-course meal and admission; a separate Premier package offers a longer meal and afternoon tea.

Who it suits
- Visitors who want a reserved table and meal as a base for the day, rather than finding seats between races.
- A first visit where a table-side TV and a balcony view make it easier to follow the racing.
- Racegoers choosing between a two-course set meal and the Premier three-course meal with full afternoon tea.

Where your ticket takes you
- A reserved table in Altior’s Restaurant for the day, with hospitality admission included in the Best of British booking.
- The restaurant looks over the Pre-Parade Ring, the racecourse and Winners’ Enclosure.
- A balcony provides an outdoor viewing area, and the restaurant’s televisions show live racing from the table.
- The booking is hospitality, not a stand-alone restaurant reservation: its ticket includes admission to racecourse areas as set out by the package.
Not included
- An online price for every fixture: the booking page lists prices only for selected 2026 dates.
- The Premier package price: its public listing describes the package but does not display an adult price.
- A guaranteed outside balcony seat at a particular table; tables are reserved, but the public page does not promise a specific position.
The view
Altior’s Restaurant overlooks the Pre-Parade Ring, course and Winners’ Enclosure. The restaurant page says the balcony offers views of the track and countryside, and televisions at tables show live racing. This combination gives guests an indoor base as well as an outside place to watch. The restaurant sits in the County Enclosure; the racecourse’s current County ticket page says County admission also allows access to Tattersalls and Lawn, but confirm the badge and entry route supplied with hospitality.
Food and drink
The racecourse currently describes two restaurant experiences, both served at a reserved table.
Best of British
A two-course set meal of main and dessert, tea and coffee, admission, a racecard programme, a table for the day and drinks service.
Premier Experience
A three-course à la carte meal, tea and coffee and full afternoon tea. The 2026 menu is published as a downloadable sample menu.
Drinks and Tote
The package listing includes table drinks service and Tote betting facilities. The current package pages do not list a fixed drinks menu.
Facilities
Reserved table
The Best of British and Premier listings describe a table for the day, giving visitors a base between races.
Balcony and TV
The restaurant has a balcony overlooking the track and televisions showing the live racing.
Raceday programme
The Best of British package includes a raceday programme, alongside admission and the meal.
Toilets
Market Rasen’s access guide lists public toilets within Altior’s Restaurant in the County Enclosure.
Dress code
Market Rasen has no formal dress code and advises visitors to dress to feel their best. A restaurant meal may suit smart-casual clothes, but comfort is the official emphasis. The balcony is outdoors, and much of the course is uncovered, so take a coat or layers for changeable weather.
Getting in
The restaurant is booked through the hospitality pages, and the Best of British package includes hospitality admission and a reserved table. Market Rasen says hospitality tickets are posted. The public page does not give a separate entrance name or bag-size rule; on 8 October 2026 the County Raceday gates were listed at 11.55am, but each fixture has its own timings. Ask the hospitality team for the restaurant route with your booking.
Accessibility
Market Rasen’s grounds are mostly flat, with gradual declines and wheelchair access at all enclosure entrances. The venue guide describes step-free entry to the County Members entrance, free first-come Blue Badge parking and accessible toilets inside Altior’s Restaurant. The guide says an eligible guest can apply for one free personal-assistant ticket with valid admission; apply promptly and provide evidence. Ask the hospitality team about a particular table location and lift or balcony access, which the restaurant page does not detail.
Children and families
Children are welcome and under-18s are free at most fixtures when accompanied, although a limited number of dates require paid child tickets. Children need a responsible adult aged 21 or older or a parent, with at most three under-18s per adult; those aged 15 or younger must stay with the adult. The 2026 restaurant listing shows adult package prices, not current children’s meal rates, so ask about the child package before booking.
Tips
- Choose a fixture in the live booking list before relying on the published price: £78 and £84 are tied to particular 2026 dates.
- The Best of British package is excluded on Ladies Day, 18 July, and Boxing Day; Premier is a different three-course and afternoon-tea option.
- Tell the restaurant about access needs when booking and ask for the route from the step-free County entrance to your table.
- Use the balcony for outdoor viewing and the table-side TV when you want to keep watching during lunch.
Upgrading
Altior’s Premier Experience is the listed upgrade from the Best of British two-course meal. Contact the hospitality team on 01673 843434 for fixture availability and the current rate.
