With refreshments
A Day at the Races at Hereford
A Day at the Races is an admission bundle for the same public enclosure, adding a racecard, a hot pie and a pint of Carlsberg or a soft drink. The ticket does not put you in a separate area; it adds refreshments to the public day.

Who it suits
- Visitors who want admission and a straightforward meal-and-drink allowance in one purchase.
- New racegoers who want to see the Parade Ring and finish without booking a restaurant table.
- Friends who want the public enclosure and freedom to move around between races.
Ticket prices
| Fixture / type | Adult price |
|---|---|
| 12 November 2026Listed ticket offer; online booking | £24 |
The 2026 ticket page lists £24 for the 12 November fixture. This is the price shown on its online booking page; that page does not label it as an advance or gate price. Package availability is limited and fixture-specific.
Where your ticket takes you
- The full public enclosure, including the grandstand public areas, pre-parade ring and Parade Ring.
- Public viewing around the home straight, finishing line and winners enclosure.
- Public bars, food outlets and betting points across the grounds; the ticket does not reserve an indoor seat.
Not included
- A reserved indoor seat is not part of this ticket.
- Food, drinks and hospitality upgrades are not included unless stated in the package description.
The view
The bundle includes the same public views as general admission: Parade Ring, grandstand public areas, home straight and winners enclosure.. The racecourse is a single public enclosure: admission packages do not divide visitors into separate grounds, and public ticket holders can move between the marked viewing areas. Use the map to locate the Parade Ring before racing and the grandstand steps for the finishing straight.
Food and drink
The included pie and drink make this the easiest package for a first-time visitor who wants a simple food plan.
Included pie and drink
The 2026 package description specifies one hot pie and a pint of Carlsberg or a soft drink, with the racecard. Other food and drink is bought separately at public outlets.
Hummingbird Bar
The racecourse map identifies this bar among the public facilities. Food and drink cannot be brought into the grounds, and the site is cashless at its bars and food outlets.
Piglets Pantry Pies & Coffee Shop
The official map marks this public outlet beside the viewing steps. It is a handy option for a hot pie or coffee between races.
Facilities
Betting
Britbet pool betting windows and on-course bookmakers are available. The racecourse is cashless for bars and food outlets, while bookmakers and Britbet accept cash for bets.
Toilets and facilities
The official course map marks toilets, first aid, betting points and public bars. A digital copy can be downloaded for use without Wi-Fi.
Seating
There is limited public seating, much of it outdoors. The FAQ says reserved seating is included with restaurant and hospitality bookings.
Dress code
The public enclosure has a relaxed dress code, not a formal one. Wear a warm coat and shoes that cope with outdoor ground; the season runs through the colder months. Team shirts are not allowed, and fancy dress must not be offensive.
Getting in
Use the main Roman Road entrance. For the 12 November 2026 fixture gates are listed for 10:27, two hours before the 12:27 first race. The ticket page shows this package among online admission offers with limited availability. Email tickets are usual. No food, drink, glass bottles or glasses may be brought in.
Accessibility
Public ticket holders can use the course’s step-free routes, ramped public outlets and covered Rusty Bridge accessible viewing platform at the finishing straight. The 2025 accessibility guide explains the stewarded route and seating on that platform. Free personal assistant admission is available for a disabled guest with a full-price ticket and qualifying evidence; contact the racecourse at least 24 hours before the fixture. This bundle does not grant access to private hospitality rooms. Contact the office for arrangements if the first-floor restaurant is under consideration: the map notes there is no passenger lift.
Children and families
Children aged 17 and under go free with a paying adult. A child ticket can be selected at booking or issued at the gate. The bundle’s described pie-and-drink inclusions are for the package purchaser; the ticket page does not publish a separate child refreshment bundle.
Tips
- Download the course map before travelling; it labels the entrance, viewing steps, Parade Ring, food outlets, toilets and betting points.
- Bring a card or contactless payment for food and drink. There are no cash machines; betting outlets are the exception to the cashless rule.
- Plan to arrive around the advertised gate opening. Gates usually open about two hours before the first race, and event pages publish exact fixture times.
- The public course has lawn and tarmac. The 2025 accessibility guide describes a step-free route around facilities that avoids crossing grass.
