Where your ticket takes you

Not included

The view

Watch from the grandstand public areas, outdoor viewing steps, lawn and the area around the finishing straight.. The racecourse is a single public enclosure: admission packages do not divide visitors into separate grounds, and public ticket holders can move between the marked viewing areas. Use the map to locate the Parade Ring before racing and the grandstand steps for the finishing straight.

Food and drink

Public admission leaves you free to choose where to eat during the day.

Hummingbird Bar

The racecourse map identifies this bar among the public facilities. Food and drink cannot be brought into the grounds, and the site is cashless at its bars and food outlets.

Piglets Pantry Pies & Coffee Shop

The official map marks this public outlet beside the viewing steps. It is a handy option for a hot pie or coffee between races.

Snaffles Restaurant

The first-floor restaurant sells separate hospitality packages on selected fixtures; it is not part of ordinary public admission.

Facilities

Betting

Britbet pool betting windows and on-course bookmakers are available. The racecourse is cashless for bars and food outlets, while bookmakers and Britbet accept cash for bets.

Toilets and facilities

The official course map marks toilets, first aid, betting points and public bars. A digital copy can be downloaded for use without Wi-Fi.

Seating

There is limited public seating, much of it outdoors. The FAQ says reserved seating is included with restaurant and hospitality bookings.

Dress code

There is no formal enclosure dress code. Hereford races from October to April, so wear warm, weatherproof layers and shoes suitable for grass and tarmac. Sports team shirts are not accepted; fancy dress is allowed if it is not offensive or inappropriate.

Getting in

Enter through the main entrance from Roman Road, Hereford, HR4 9QU. Gates usually open about two hours before the first race; for 12 November 2026 the advertised opening is 10:27 and racing begins at 12:27. Tickets are emailed. Ordinary small bags are not restricted by the pages reviewed; the entry FAQ bans food, drink, glass bottles and glasses brought in.

Accessibility

Disabled visitors can use the priority area in the main car park, hard-standing drop-off, ramped or level public bars and food outlets, and the covered accessible viewing platform at Rusty Bridge for the last fence and straight. The guide says stewards control step-free access to that platform. Personal assistants are admitted free with a full-price guest who can show accepted evidence; contact the team at least 24 hours ahead. The public areas are on the ground floor or outdoor routes, with a route avoiding grass in the 2025 guide.
